As I was documenting this special day in her baby book I took special care to explain that this Christening is a symbol and promise to God that we will raise her in a Chriatian home and that it will be her decision one day to accept our Lord as her Savior. I am so glad we were able to do this around Christmas as we celebrate our Father's birthday!

Happy Thansgiving!
Poor Thanksgiving. I feel like the world is trying to jump straight from Halloween to Christmas and this year I have more to be thankful for that ever before. Sometimes I still look at Macy Claire and cannot believe how lucky we are to have been blessed with such a precious gift. I thank the Lord every day for allowing us to be the parents of such a sweet, beautiful, healthy baby girl. She has brought so much joy and happiness in just 6 short months. I am in awe of what excitement the future holds!
This year for Thanksgiving we went to Poplarville to Scott's Grandmother's house. The Morris family is chocked full of AWESOME cooks! Everything was so delicious! Macy Claire tried her first bite of table food and loved it! Sweet Potatoes are her absolute favorite and she was very excited to dive head first in to a plate of Sweet Potato Casserole.
This was the first year that his entire family has been able to celebrate together in quite a few years. Scott's brother Matt and his family have moved from NOLA to Hattiesburg to manage and be the head honcho Chef at Conestoga Steak House and having them so close has been so much fun! Conestoga was closed on Thanksgiving and so he was able to celebrate with us for the first time since I have been in the Morris clan.
Macy Claire's MiMi is the most talented seamstress and made the girls matching dresses for Thanksgiving. I wouldn't even begin to know how to tell you how to turn on a sewing machine and she makes the gorgeous dresses! We are so lucky :)

6 months old!
It is so hard to believe that Macy Claire is already 6 months old! Time really does fly by! Macy Claire is sitting up by herself, has 2 adorable little teeth, loves to laugh and feed herself, and we think she is going to start crawling any day now.
We are so excited about starting the holiday season as a family of 3. We decided to go ahead and put up our Christmas tree because we are going to be on the go then next few weeks. Macy Claire loves looking at the lights! I know this will be the last year we can use our glass ornaments for a while :)

Christmas Pictures and 5 month pics
It's almost "the most wonderful time of year" and time to get in the holiday spirit! I wanted to have some family pictures done for our first Christmas card as a family of 3. Sessions fill up FAST, but luckily I was able to schedule a session with the Merry Mason Photography for late October. The day before our pictures something "blew up" at Sak's and Scott was not able to leave work and join us for the session. We are going to try to get one of us as a group soon though. Even though we were so sad Scott couldn't be there with us the pictures turned out great! I can't wait to teach Macy Claire about what Christmas is really about and start some fun traditions for our little family. Here's a sneak peek at some of the great pictures Kristen Mason was able to capture.
Who can believe how fast these past 5 months have gone by??? I sure can't! Our sweet girl has cut her first tooth and is working on sitting up by herself! Before we know it she'll be walking and talking. I am so thankful for this precious baby girl. Sometimes it's still hard to believe that she's ours. She has the sweetest personality and brings such joy to our lives!
My First Halloween and the Pumpkin Patch
We had our first "big" holiday as a family last week and had the best time! For Halloween we decided to dress up as a family. Macy Claire's genius Witty (Whitney) helped us come up with the idea to dress up as Peter Pan, Wendy, and Tinkerbell. I thought finding a blue nightgown to be Wendy would be SO easy! WRONG! It took forever to find something that would work, but it was so worth it. We easily found costumes for Scott and Macy Claire and they were precious.
The Friday before Halloween we went to our Supper Clubs Halloween party and had a great time with our friends. Macy Claire and Everett slept like little angels and let the big kids have some fun.We didn't get any pictures of the 3 of us that night because our sweet girl goes to bed so early (NOT complaining. We are so lucky to have such a great sleeper). Our hosts, Austin and Lauren Brown, prepared the most delicious Taco Soup, great snacks, spooky music, and a great game of charades. We have so enjoyed being a part of such a wonderful Supper Club the last few years. We look forward to it every month.
Halloween night was forcasted to be a wash out so our neighborhood decided to Trick or Treat a night early. We decided she was still a little to small to enjoy Trick or Treating, but she did enjoy looking at all the children that came to the door. We had more Trick or Treaters this year than we ever have before. I have to say my favorite costume was a set of triplets dressed as Dorothy, Tin Man, and the Lion.
We also had our first visit to the Pumpkin Patch and had such a great time with our friends Keith and Marianna and sweet Everett. There were all kinds of animals, a corn maze, hay ride, and so much more. We didn't get a chance to go on the hay ride this year. It was an hour long and we didn't think our little ones would be able to handle a whole hour. We walked them around and showed them the animals and the babies both got there first pumpkin! I know that when we go back next year the kids are going to love all of the activities!
