She's here!

Macy Claire Morris was born on May 23, 2013 at 11:37 am. She weighed 8lbs 10oz and was 20 inches long. She has a full head of dark hair and beautiful blue eyes (for now). We stayed in the hospital until Saturday afternoon before heading home. That first night at home was just what we expected...traumatic and long! We are slowly finding a routine and figuring out how to be the best parents we can to this sweet angel. She is a big sleeper right now and is eating about every 3 hours. So as you can imagine we aren't living day to day yet. We are living feeding to feeding, but enjoying every minute of it. There is no way to describe the love and joy Scott and I have in our hearts from this little girl. She truly is our world now.

Well our little princess may be here sooner than we expected. I went to the Dr. today and Macy Claire is completely breeched. She moved from transverse to breech in the last few weeks and Dr. Wooley thinks the chances of her completely flipping around are very slim. He is going to do one more ultra sound next Monday to check on her, but as of right now we have a tentative C-Section scheduled for next Thursday on the 23rd. I'm so excited to finally have her in my arms, but the realization of having surgery next weeks makes me very anxious.

We had an ultra sound today and of course the technician couldn't stop talking about how long her hair was. It was so funny. When I would laugh her hair would swoosh around like she was in the wind. I can't wait to see what it looks like in real life. She is weighing in at 7lbs 8oz today. I think she'll be at a nice healthy weight for us next week.

Please keep us in your prayers the next few days that the anxiety of having surgery will subside and that we'll have our beautiful baby girl here in just 10 short days!
