Big Walker!
There are all kinds of milestones we couldn't wait for Macy Claire to reach. Rolling over, sitting up, crawling, pulling up have all come and gone. Ladies and gentleman, we have a walker! Now don't get me wrong, miss priss still prefers to crawl 100 mph everywhere she goes. She actually won second place in the 31st annual Blueberry Jubilee Crawling Contest, but this girl can walk! She gets better and better everyday. She gets the most precious smile on her face when she walks towards you. You can just tell from the look in her eyes she is so proud of herself.

Happy Birthday Macy Claire
Happy Birthday Macy Claire! My goodness what a year it's been. It's so hard to believe that just 12 short months ago you were a tiny 8 lb 10oz 20 inch long newborn baby girl! Daddy and I have learned so much about each other, being parents, and life in general and we are both so thankful. Sometimes when I look at you I still can't believe you are ours. Watching you grow and learn new things everyday and have new experiences has been such a joy for us. I can't wait to see what is in store for you. I have no doubt that you will grow in to a beautiful, kind, wonderful girl and know that I will always be here for you my sweet sunshine!
Macy Claire turned 1 on May 23! We had her birthday party a few weeks earlier and had a great time. Most of our family and friends were able to make it to the party. We had a "cupcake" theme and had a jumpy jump house, bubble machine, and bean bag toss. I had a smash cake made for Macy Claire that looked like a huge cupcake. She loved it. It took her a few minutes to decide how she was going to eat it. In the end she gave it some good bites and licks. She worked on it for a few days after that too. We had so much fun celebrating her big day with all the special people in her life!
For Macy Claire's actual birthday we went to Fort Walton Beach, FL with my sister and her family. We had the most beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico. We stayed at Waterscape and there were several pools and splash pads for us all to enjoy, as well as the beach. Macy Claire wasn't sure about the pool the first time we got in, but after that first try she loved it. She did want to stay in mine or Scott's arms, but she enjoyed splashing. She also really enjoyed playing (and eating) the sand on the beach. We went to eat at a few fun places, grilled by the pool, watched movies, and spent lots of quality time together. We were all sad to leave when the weekend is over. I think we should make it a yearly trip to celebrate my sweet girls day!

Sweet Summertime
Sweet summertime has finally arrived!! Today I went to Whitney's apartment to check on her cats while she's out of town. When I drove by the pool I noticed all the kids having the best time playing. I couldn't get to Wal-Mart fast enough to get Macy Claire her very own pool. I got home before she woke up and Scott and I were able to fill it and get it warmed up for her. She looked so adorable in her little bikini! We weren't sure if she would like it or not, but this girl LOVED it! I think this was the first of many afternoon swims for our sweet angel! When Aunt Whitney gets home we'll have to go check out the big pool!
Of course Daisy thought the pool was for her. She jumped right in to play with Macy Claire. This will be first summer she's had to share a baby pool with someone :) She usually gets her very own princess pool every summer.

10 and 11 Month Pictures!
I did it again....I didn't post her monthly pictures :) So here are her 10 and 11 month pictures!
Macy Claire is pulling up on furniture and walking along it, she is saying Mama, Daddy, Daisy, bye bye, hey, baby, and ball! We are working on transitioning from bottles to sippy cups. She does ok with it. I think it's a lot easier to get her milk out of the bottle than the cup and her little mouth must get tired working on the sippy cup, but we'll get there. We are working on her 1st Birthday Party and the invitations are out! It is SO hard to comprehend that our little tiny baby is almost 1! She is such a joy and I still sometimes look at her and can't believe how lucky we are!

North Carolina and Easter
I've been slacking on keeping up with the blogging. I'll do better! We've had a busy couple of weeks around here!!
Macy Claire went on the second plane ride of her life to visit her cousins in North Carolina. My goodness was it an adventure. In a nut shell we got selected for additional screening by TSA, missed a flight, rented a car, borrowed a carseat, and missed our very first afternoon nap. It was a long day getting to Raleigh, but we had a great visit. Macy Claire has a brand new cousin named Nina. Nina was born on January 1, 2014 and is such a snuggly koala bear. We had a great time visiting with Aunt Ana, Unkie Jeffy, cousin Ava, cousin Nina, and Aunt Jenkie. I had some precious matching Easter outfits made for the girls and we got some great pictures of them.

Nina is the snuggliest baby I have ever met! Love her so much!!
We had a lot of fun celebrating Easter weekend as a family of 3. On Saturday we went to the Flowood Easter Egg Hunt with our dear friends Marianna and Everett Russell and Matt, Marie, Ava, and Hadley Williams.. Sadly we got there about 10 minutes late and it was already over, BUT they had lots of other activities for us to enjoy. We saw lots of Daisy's (animals) at the petting zoo, clowns, played games, and enjoyed some beautiful karaoke singing. That afternoon our special friend Molly Joiner had her first birthday party! After a long day of fun Macy Claire was worn out and ready for bed.
On Easter Sunday we went to Hattiesburg to visit with Scott's family. We had a wonderful lunch and exchanged Easter baskets for Rylee and Macy Claire. We finally had an Easter Egg hunt too!! It was a very special weekend filled with fun and family.
